BIOGRAPHY
Roy Brash is a Canadian contemporary visual artist, using mostly acrylics as a medium. A native of Pembroke, Ontario, he now resides in Ottawa where he has a studio.
His technique has been developed mostly by being self taught and enhanced by a number of courses and classes with various teachers and art institutions.
Roy continues to explore the medium with the approach of using vivid colours, imagery and emotion to tell a story in his paintings. His art is heavily influenced by the realist painters of the middle 20th century, as well as by the neo-impressionist and classic painters. He attempts to make sense of his world in his paintings. Water scenes are often a favorite subject.
Roy has exhibited at several shows and galleries in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and the United States. His works now hang in private, public and corporate collections throughout Quebec, Ontario, the U.S. and Europe.
