I was honored to be selected again this year as a finalist in the 2015 "Brush Off" Canadian Painting Competition. On September 17th, I attended the vernissage of the Group Exhibition at the Avenue Art Gallery in Old Montreal, where my painting  "Girl with Umbrella " will be on display until October 23rd, 2015.

It was the 10th anniversary of the show this year and it did not disappoint ! Being held in a beautiful decor, it has become one of the top fine art show in the whole Ottawa region. 

I was honored to be invited by the Embassy of the United States to attend the event "Contemporary Conversations" featuring world- known American artist, Eric Fischl. It was hosted by the Canada Council Art Bank on September 9, 2015 . 
In a lighter moment, I had the pleasure to exchange a few words with him after the session . 

I attended the 2015 Renfrew Art in the Park event . It is an outdoor show attracting visitors from all over the Ottawa Valley region. 

It was great to welcome visitors in our garden and backyard on a beautiful summer week-end !  Every year, this event is growing in interest . 

I am pleased to participate regularly in theme shows at the KCAG .
"Town & Country " was the theme in July 2015 and my submission ("November Market") was selected to promote the exhibition that month. 

I will be participating in the 2015 NFAL Spring Art Show & Sale event on April 24-26,  at the Ukrainian Hall, 1000  Byron Avenue, in Ottawa.  Come and see my new  artworks , incorporating abstract imagery with realism . Here are a few examples : 

The painting "The Ninety Nine" was recently sold and the herd of sheep was all happy about it ! The new owners said that" we are enjoying the painting enormously ...that it looks terrific and has brought them great pleasure...The painting looks quite striking against our wall ... ". 
This is the best reward for me as an artist to know that my artwork brings such pleasure. 

I will be participating this year in the Kanata Civic Art Gallery's" Gift of Art Show & Sale" , which will be held on Saturday & Sunday November 15 & 16, 2014 at the Mlacak Centre , in Kanata, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. Free admission, free parking. Eileen & I look forward to seeing you there !

The painting " Spring Stream" (18"x24", acrylic, $375.00) will be part of the exhibition. 

I was a finalist at the 2014 Canadian Brush Off Painting Competition in Montreal and, as a result, exhibited at the Avenue Art Gallery in Old Montreal, from October 16- December 12, 2014.
